Well, I started an RP. http://www.vf11.com/scrapyard
The theme, as taken from the site.
POLITICO FILE:
Welcome to the future. Or at least a possible future. In 2150 World War Three ravaged most of the world. The U.N. crumbled around the Security Council. The remaining members of the council, France, Russian Federation, United States of America, Peoples Republic of China, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and India had to make a decision. The council decided that the issues of the individual countries were too much for the world to continue to handle. The U.N. had to make an action. The collective militaries of the council banded together under the U.N. flag. Most countries followed readily, wanting peace after the massive war. Most of the world that stood against the U.N. fell quickly. Under the council, peace reigned over the earth. The final step in unification was to create a capitol, one for the whole world. Land was dredged from all around the planet to create a single, massive island in the center of the Pacific Ocean. The project was called EDUN (Earth's Diplomatic Unified Nation). The equally massive city that grew on the island became known as Edun in turn.
Over the next 150 years, the state of the was one of peace. Although the state of the massive city of Edun began to fall. Beyond the central government district, the city was mostly slum. Groups of the city's denizens forming gangs to survive in the rough districts of the city. Fighting over control of land and businesses, but most importantly, to protect their own. Some are little more than gangs of toughs, others effecient organized groups. Even the well off society of the capitol district has gangs. Though they are mostly the bored teenagers and young adults looking to "prove" their mettle in the world.
Over the next one hundred fifty years, internal conflict between government beaurocracies caused much of the responsibilities of the government to be shifted to private firms. Most importantly, the security of Edun city is dealt with by the Waterston firm. A corporate security department dedicated to eradicating the gang scourge.
PRETERNATURA:
In the past fifty years, there have been strange goings on. People have been cropping up with odd "powers". These powers, known as preternatura, are both a cause of wonder and scorn. Religious leaders consider it the signs of the apocolypse, gangs seek to exploit them for their own gains, and Waterston firm considers them just a speed bump in their eradication plans. Siding with the common opinion that these people are somehow tainted.
These powers have always been around. Most were blocked by the boundries between the supernatural and the natural worlds. The chaos of the natural world kept most of the supernatural stuck firmly on their side of the boundry. With the widespread peace of the world, chaotic forces have leeched through the boundry to achieve a balance. The forces bring long dormant abilities to some humans. But always at a price. For example, a boy may find he can start fires with his mind, but when he does he catches a high fever. Or a doctor finds he can heal with his touch, only to realize he is killing those around him to do so. As the need for balance caused the powers to manifest, so to do they require balance among the powers themselves.
Premise:
The premise is simple. You are in a gang around the city, or an agent of the Waterston firm. Your job is simple. Survive, take territory, survive, build gang noteriety, survive, and did I mention survive.

I figure I should try and pimp a comic I'm working on.
It's a sci-fi action story following a an alien under self-exile from his military for failing his duty. He becomes a bounty hunter to get by, both financially and as a means to make amends for his failings.
http://gotm.comicgenesis.com/ Only just begun and the first artist has jumped ship. We(the other author and myself) have found a replacement and are working on getting this going.

Tonight, just a few minutes ago actually. I preformed in front of a packed (read about sixty people) house at my campus theatre. It was an improv show with me and the rest of my class/troupe. Anyone who has ever been in comedy will understand the depth and meaning behind this next statement.
I made them laugh.
Thank you.

I've decided to make a contest to drum up some readership for my stories. I'm not sure if this is the right thread for it but if it isn't I'm sure the mods will be nice enough to move it for me.
RF's contest:
Make something creative (art, story, poem, song, sculpture, small pyrotechnic display) that has anything do with my Brick Malinois series. And I will pick the three I like the most. I cannot draw worth crap (those of you that have looked into my scraps section will be damned assured there). So here's what the top three will get.
1st place: Major part in a Brick Malinois w/distinct possibility of being a recurring character (I will discuss what you want with you)
2nd place: Middling part in a short/ occasional recurrance (Same as above)
3rd place: Minor part (More than a little cameo and I will discuss with you.)
Well, let's see if this attracts anyone. Hopefull I'll just get people to read and enjoy my stories.
The "deadline" (I use the term loosely because if there is no entries by the date this thing continues) is May 7th. One month from today. Have fun

As I look around at some of the denizens of the internet. I notice many of them talk about how bad their lives are. I don't know how many of these are true or not, Though I suspect most are exaggerations. I really just want to say that, unlike many people online. I just have this to say.
MY LIFE IS GOING GREAT! Yes, even though I have my own problems I've learned that moping and wallowing in self pity gets you no where. So I just look at all the good things going on and the shit seems less. Just saying that my life, regardless of my actual problems, is going well.
Thank you.

Yes, boys and girls, I'm back on top. I wrote Brick Malinois 7 and am currently working on eight. Damn it feels good to be back on the case again. Listening to a little Cherry Poppin' Daddies right now. You know what? I see people making all these little "contests" and I say to myself "Scott. You should try your hand at one of those contests." and then I answer. "Why the hell am I calling myself Scott, that's just a pen name?" then I realize that I'm talking to myself like some sort of demented tin foil hat wearing crack head. But no, I think I'll try my hand at one of these contests. So here's the deal.

Here's a bit of an odd but funny conversation between me and a friend from the Jack Forums
idleyote (9:40:12 AM): sevens are emo, you know. roscofloyd (9:40:17 AM): ? idleyote (9:40:22 AM): just sayin roscofloyd (9:40:30 AM): Who are sevens? idleyote (9:40:36 AM): the numbers. roscofloyd (9:40:48 AM): Oh, yeah I guees they can be emo. roscofloyd (9:41:24 AM): Not as bad as those eights though. Always whining about how fat and bulgy they are. Even when you tell them to look at the poor zero. But they just don't listen. idleyote (9:42:02 AM): well at least they have some substance to them, unlike those twiggy 1s. jesus, anorexia much? roscofloyd (9:42:41 AM): That's why one hangs out with zero. to make themselves look better. idleyote (9:42:58 AM): 9 could do that, haveyou seen their big ol head? roscofloyd (9:43:26 AM): Yeah, they seem pretty cool with it though. Unlike those pinheaded fours. idleyote (9:43:51 AM): I dunno, four pulled of an awesome pyramid-head cosplay roscofloyd (9:44:15 AM): That's about all they do though. They have nothing more to them except their SH fanfiction and cosplaying. idleyote (9:46:40 AM): I thought four had a job? idleyote (9:46:46 AM): what happened to that? roscofloyd (9:47:42 AM): He did, he used to be open minded but when he closed it up he couldn't hold down the job as an art critic. idleyote (9:47:56 AM): tsk, a shame. idleyote (9:48:01 AM): oh, speaking of jobs, 5 got one. roscofloyd (9:48:32 AM): I heard five replaced two. Pretty much just turned the whole place around with it. idleyote (9:57:11 AM): yeah, and he's also been asked to do a supporting role in V. roscofloyd (9:58:33 AM): At least five has fone something with it's life. roscofloyd (9:59:03 AM): He was a little subpar working with Stallone though. idleyote (10:04:42 AM): oh, tell me about it. idleyote (10:04:58 AM): Stallone disliked 5 so much back then, he's thinking of going with 6 for the next one. roscofloyd (10:05:25 AM): I hope not. If anything go back to working with one. idleyote (10:06:17 AM): yeah, after that whole sechs thing six was in the news for. roscofloyd (10:07:05 AM): It's pitiful really. Nine is just completely embarrased over even looking like six. idleyote (10:13:23 AM): I heard six and nine were an item, tho. roscofloyd (10:14:00 AM): they broke up, six thought nine's head was too big, and nine doesn't like large asses. idleyote (10:17:15 AM): ahh, I see. idleyote (10:17:36 AM): two just looks silly. bizzare outfit, and all that ranting. roscofloyd (10:17:57 AM): I know. roscofloyd (10:18:28 AM): Just going on and on and on. Kind of like eight when it lays down on the psychiatrists couch and lets it all out. idleyote (10:19:54 AM): and yanno, speaking of the crazy, I've heard about multiple personalities, but it's like one and zero have started SHARING one, calling themselves "ten". it's like a lame emo band without the music. roscofloyd (10:20:48 AM): What about "eleven"? When one was so full of itself it claimed to have a twin. idleyote (10:21:05 AM): jeez, seriously. idleyote (10:21:11 AM): still, one and zero are pretty good with computers. roscofloyd (10:21:44 AM): Yeah, that's true. seven has all the luck though. idleyote (10:22:06 AM): which makes you wonder why he's so emo.

Boys and Girls. I'm burnt. I just can't write. I've got the story down. Hell, I have three future stories down in my head just waiting to be written. The problem is my mind is shot. I just can't bring myself to write anything. That's really all. Can't say much else.

Wrote a new peice of poetry. Thought I'd share it.
You Look Down
You look down from ivory towers Upon those that do no know Spending all your waking hours Basking in your ego’s glow
But I am watching you From the crowd is where I find That I know what is true And I know of your kind
The aura of your arrogance Exuded in this place Is there to hide your ignorance To what you do not face
That you were once like those below But to your past you turn blind eyed From childish things you did outgrow And from youthful tears you cried
So stay up in your polished rooms I will keep the common crowd And I shall the young ones bloom While you, to selfish pride, are bowed
